Analia Saban: CIRCUIT BOARD FOR ROCK PAINTING
Rheinschlucht (Versam-Safien Bahnhof) – GPS: 46.806607, 9.307474
Analia Saban‘s wall-work refers to prehistoric rock and cave paintings, which could be seen as early forerunners of Land Art. She covers the rock walls at Versam-Safien with oversized drawings of computer circuit boards and thus brings the earliest of human cultural achievements into dialogue with the computer age. Contrasting the fast pace of technology with the durability of the rock, she creates a place of which combines nature and technology. The lime paint drawing is exposed to the elements and will be eroded over time.
