Building profiles are placeholders that announce a future building. They visualize a volume that will later take shape and perhaps become reality. They are inscribed with questions such as: „What if something were to stand here? What could it look like?“ or „Is that what we want? They are instruments for making the future visible, plannable and negotiable. But what would happen if these future projections became elastic and malleable, if new spaces and previously unknown cubatures could be staked out, if the known system could be undermined? (JH)
