Education

In the field of education, ILEA has organised the international summer school Alps Art Academy and the multi-day symposium ILEA Talks every two years since 2016. Since 2018, the ILEA has been a co-organizer for 1-2 seminars per year for the Zurich University of the Arts, as well as other educational offerings.

The ALPS ART ACADEMY invites artists as well as theorists, mediators and curators to discuss, think about and work on the concept of Land and Environmental Art in relation to contemporary and local conditions. What all of the workshops have in common is the questioning and updating of the historical concept of Land and Environmental Art as well as a transdisciplinary practice. The resulting works and texts make proposals for a possible future Land and Environmental Art, which, in addition to the landscape and environment, also integrates politics, history and society into the debate. – Alps Art Academy
