Academy
The Alps Art Academy was an international Summer academy week held in Tenna, in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. During one week (26.6. – 2.7.2016), 30 students from 22 countries created works in four workshops conducted by eight lecturers on the theme of Land Art. While three workshops focused on creating artworks for the Art Safiental exhibition, one workshop aimed at working on the history, theory and mediation aspects of Land Art. Each group also wrote the texts on the works from the exhibition and co-designed the mediation concept. An opening one-day symposium with guest lecturers was organized. During the week, other artists visited the academy. The center of the academy was Pension Alpenblick in Tenna (GR). Works were created in the entire Safien valley (from the Rhine Gorge through Versam, Tenna, Safien Platz, Thalkirch and Zhinderst). Further information about the academy: www.alpsartacademy.ch
